Yesterday, my wife and I went to the grocery to get some foods, while waiting in line to get some foods. A lady behind us saw us signing in ASL and all of sudden she tapped on my shoulder and said I'm sorry that you and your wife can't hear just sooo sorry, I gave that look to her and thought about it, finally I spoke to her she was shocked that i was abled to speak and let her know dont be sorry for us we are proud to be deaf and signed ASL, God has given us variety people to deal with. I mentioned again dont be sorry we are the same as you only difference is you can hear and we cant. She felt embarrassed and realized we are equal and we went about our business. Keep on signing.
It still amazed me and i kept laughing about it. New education for them to learn smile :).

John Tracey Clinic Slap My Hands
Long ago, when I was a child about 2-4 years old, my mother told me that I was in John Tracey Clinic school for speech therapy and learning education as well. I was fascinate with sign language that older people communicate. I just fell in love with sign language and try to communicate with sign language at John Tracey Clinic, when the teacher saw I signed, she slapped my hands and said, "No, no, no, sign language it's bad, you must speak and talk.". I was appalled what the teacher did to me and i was angry and screaming at that time. From what my mom told me that, they put me in a corner to keep me quiet down or until i learned my lesson.
After 4 hours I finally gave in and learn how to talk, remember i was 2 to 4 years at the time. As i grew older and look back what they did to me i was inferiorate with them. I kept sign language the whole time and show to my parent it's my first language of signing not speaking. They felt bad that i dont want to speak, but learned to accept for who i am. Now as a adult i asked my mom, why didnt you learn to sign language when you had the chance when she first found out about me. She wish she had, but she was told by the DOCTOR that it would be the best solution for me to speak.
We must educate all hearing parents or everyone how vital of sign language is very important to youngster even babe they can learn at early age as much as 5 months old they can pick up sign language. Now that my parent saw I signed ASL and felt it's the most beautiful language of all.

Update Discrimination at Work
It's been a year and half, since I left my work company. During all that time, I was working with my lawyer preparing for trial to come. Mine will start on October 21st, 2008 (finally PAH!). My lawyer asked me, if I win the case what is my goal to educate work company. I told them, they need to respect and treated equal with everyone especially with ASLAN people.
I suggested them they need to be mindful of ASLAN and add up the ADA law or policy for workforce stating that it shall provided interpreter for all ASLAN and not oppress them. Must let ASLAN know advance instead of last minutes for company mandatory meeting. I need your feedback or suggestion to add up for ADA law to protect ASLAN rights.
The reason, I put ASLAN instead of Deaf is to recognize American Sign Language and those people who signed it, not just general to Deaf, because the hearing world will think Deaf can mean anyone who can't hear, those with CI or lipreader is sufficient for it. To emphazise ASLAN is the true group of people that really sign American Sign Language. Please share any comments that I can share with my lawyer to add up for new and upcoming ADA law in case if I win.

John Ritter exposed ASL
Remember John Ritter, the famous Jack Tripper from Three's Company and 8 Simple Rules TV show. He died of aortic dissection, an unrecognized and undetected flaw in his heart. He was famous for clumsy acting, very funny expression that you can understand body language and even without speaking still show his expression.
I learned yesterday that John Ritter spoke alittle of ASL to his wife just before he passed on. I will quote exactly what happened to John and his wife Amy Yasbeck, Ritter was on set for rehearsals of “8 Simple Rules” on Sept. 11, 2003 — the fifth birthday of daughter Stella — when he experienced severe nausea and vomiting. He went to nearby St. Joseph’s at 6 p.m.
Yasbeck said Ritter felt badly that he was “ruining Stella’s birthday.”
“He was smiling at me,” she recalled. “And I said ... ‘I love you.’ ”
Yasbeck indicated that Ritter said “I love you” back with American Sign Language, which they had signed to each other during stage performances.
“And he held it as he went around the corner,” she said. “That’s the last time I saw him till I saw him dead, after he died.”
My thought that he did exposed ASL on stage in public sending the message that ASL is awesome and can communicate another way to people. More and more people are recognizing ASL that is true language of ASLAN. I just thought that was interesting and share with you all.

DeafRead Conference 2008 S.F.
DeafRead Conference 2008 S.F.
We had a great time up in San Franscisco, we really did make some noise up in DeafRead Conference. It's great to see all bloggers and vloggers sharing their opinion and issues. We need to spread the word more on DeafRead, DeafVideo.tv, and upcoming new sites to form strong Aslan communities. It really inspired me to see all the presentation was given and firecracker everything we stand and believe.I truly believe DeafRead will help everyone gain better understanding of what we stand for. We need more Vloggers and identify all people to see. I plan to set up my vlog real soon, blog is nice to share, but to have visual and seeing the person is true identity and can tell of that person's belief. Because when I saw all those vlogger in conference man oh man they knew who they were. Now it motivate me to become like them and join for their cause to support ASLAN and educate everyone the true meaning of ASLAN.I saw alot of wonderful and awesome people there, and we need more of them. Like Vlogger name Oh I See said the title of Wish You Were Here how true that is. Aslpride, Carl, and many others. Spread the word for DeafRead and become part of ASLAN group that we may get recognition throughout the world. Look forward to see you more on DeafRead and soon for Vlog.Power to ASLAN
