Immigration Issues

How do you feel about immigrants enter our country illegal? Do you support the idea of them coming in or do you disagree? I've always felt that those who came to America legal with legal procedures by honoring their government laws and ours as well. They helped strengthen our country of who we are now.

What about the illegal immigrants, do they have the same rights as the legal immigrants? Do they get the fair share of helping our country or not? I'm talking about every races, color, creed, and nationality not just point out one particular group, but to all over the world. Every day, every month, and every year I heard many different comments on illegal immigrants they took our taxes to support themselves. They took jobs from American citizens. They seek for lower wages, but they formed into groups to support themselves, for example, connection with families and friends outside from USA and pull them in work force by working lower wages. Should we stop them from pouring over into our country and protect our citizens for employments?

When I see immigrants waving flags on America soil by their native country, let's say Mexico flag wave on America's soil, by law in America anybody claim their native flags and pounce on America's soil would declare war or ready to fight against America and I think that's very dangerous statement messages. You can have another country flag, but it has to be second behind United States Flag on American soil. Here is the website you can see for yourself. My ancestor came to America in honorable and legal procedures, why can't others follow like that as well.

I understand how you feel about immigrants, legal or illegal, but your comment struck a chord in me. Here's what you said...

"They took jobs from American citizens. They seek for lower wages, but they formed into groups to support themselves, for example, connection with families and friends outside from USA and pull them in work force by working lower wages."

This bothers me a lot because I don't think they took jobs from the Americans. Rather they took on the low paying jobs that Americans DON'T WANT TO DO. This applies to legal and illegal immigrants.

But I do see your point about coming across the border legally, fair and square.

Two things occur to me.

Firstly, I never see people complaining when the Irish wave their flags around in displays of ethnic pride. So it seems selective, and yes racist, when people are always complaining about Mexicans who wave their flags. They can't win, either: if they wave the American flag, everyone complains that they're being opportunistic.

Secondly, if you look at Deaf history, you'll see that one of the motivations behind the push for oralism was a strong anti-immigration sentiment. If Deaf people were speaking another language, congregating in their own churches and so on, how were they any different from all those UN american immigrants??

So I think this entire slippery slope of dislike, anger, or even hatred directed at immigrants (legal or illegal) is badly and even dangerously misplaced. Who's next in line?

Finally, why are they here? For jobs? Who is hiring them? Hmmm AMERICANS. Go after these people! They are the problem.

No jobs, no incentives, no illegal immigration.
